Patient Support Group Update:
Cancer causes a variety of emotions from anger, to confusion, to depression. Prostate cancer will bring a man face to face with his own unique problems.
Prostate cancer support groups are meetings where prostate cancer patients can gain additional information and share their experiences with fellow patients. The Columbus Prostate Cancer Center and Central Ohio Urology Group have partnered with Haven of Hope to provide a continuing opportunity to learn top experts in the field about the various aspects of this disease.
Central Ohio Urology Group urologists attend each meeting to present information.

Not All Radiation Therapy is the Same:
In cities throughout the United States the Cyberknife is being marketed extensively as an alternative to Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Unfortunately this effort has the potential to confuse patients regarding what is the safest, most effective radiation treatment option for prostate cancer.
